Our  family includes me, Marja, my husband Tommi, our daughter Viivi (born 10/12), Tiia (born 11/07) and our son Tuukka (born 9/04). We both work in Suolahti, me in hotel-restaurant as a cook and Tommi in Valtra. We live in a small place called Sumiainen, witch is located from Jyväskylä till north-east about 65 km. Our hause is on the shore of  the Keitele-lake, and the magnificient fishing and hunting areas are just beside us. Our dogs are allowed to enjoy for freedom allways, in summertime swimming and in winter running on the lakes ice. Our family have allso two horses, so our dogs are allso often with us riding.

My hobby with dogs  started allready as a little girl with my grandparents elkdog. I decided to teach some jumping, sitting and obedience etc. to a bit lazy Piku. Piku learn and did what I tell him to, but he certainly wasn’t very exited about it… but I was, so the dog did what wanted.

I got my first own dog allmost accidently. I heard, that there was a english springer –male without home in Suolahti. I couldn’t take it (I lived at home at the time and my father was allergic ), so I talked to my upcoming huspands brother to buy it. So, Kimmo bought Rambo. We used to visit in Rambos breeder pretty often and I fell in love with a small bitch Melli. It was really a love with at first sight, I really liked her right away. I used to take Melli with me to the obedience-trainings and sometimes I took her with us during the weekends etc. It’s easy to quess how it ended, I wanted Melli to become my own despite of my fathers allergic. Melli came to us as a placementdog when she was one year old. Later I got allso her puppy, Moona.

With Melli I started my dog-hobby seriously. Tommi have started hunting allready as a child with his father, so he continued that with Melli. This hobby is very important to him allso nowadays and that was very important part when we was looking after our hause. We use all of dogs to hunting. Tommi have dream allways for the hound-dog, so drever Hejja moved to us in autumn 2002. Now Tommi’s hunting –season continues after the birdhunting –season is over.

I had a dream of cockerspaniel, so we bought Miisa as a show-dog. Miisa enjoys shows very much and she became JW00 and later a champion allso. Hugo moved to us in new years eve 2002 and he have been showing very good hunting abilities allso – Hugo have allso gained pretty good success in shows. Our little princess are Jessica, becoming in spring 2004. This girl was our big dream and I founded her in Sweden, kennel Astrospring's. Biggest thanks to Ann!

My headpoint with our dog-hobby is with shows and tracking. I have competed in tracking-tests with Miisa and we are after tracking ch- title. We visited shows sometimes, and our daghter Viivi was there first time on the age of one month.

Breeding started beside this hobby, and I wish that allso other people should get joy and happiness with these lovely spaniels. I try to breed very open, active and many-sided dogs and remember allso their first purpose – hunting. Outlook and healthy are naturally very important things allso, and I wish that spaniels could bring happy moments to the whole family.

I have been very lucky to get such a good friends for my puppy-buyers!
